Carrying out site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills
Carrying out routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc)
Carrying out the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures
Rectifying and reducing faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning
Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentation
Contributing to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its safety management system
Checking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment
Working in accordance with the Company’s Safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements, as well as setting a personal example of safe behaviour

Full UK driving License
Carrying out more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information
Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred
Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
Good administration skills and punctuality
Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information
The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and within efficiencies
Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand equipment
Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors)
