The CFO will serve on the Executive Committee, shaping the firm’s financial future by providing stability, integrity, and sustainable growth. This senior leader will bring deep experience in the engineering consulting industry and a proven track record in financial and people leadership to a purpose‑driven, employee‑owned organization.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with J‑U‑B’s strategic plan.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Committee on financial policies and direction.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and provide timely data to stakeholders.
- Lead financial risk audits and implement recommendations with external firms.
- Manage cash flow, investment strategies, banking relationships, and employee benefits administration.
- Provide executive oversight for HR functions, partnering with the HR Director on talent, compensation, and engagement.
- Lead and mentor Finance and HR departments, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
- Serve as liaison with the Board, auditors, and regulatory agencies, communicating performance and strategy.
- Direct financial due diligence, valuation, and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee facility operations, space utilization, lease management, and safety across all locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum 20 years of financial management experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
- Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and integration.
- Leadership experience in professional services or consulting engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee or closely partner with Human Resources in an integrated business.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (Vantage Point and/or Paylocity a plus).
