Assistant Project Manager

Description

• Reviewing drawings for design changes and developing change order pricing.
• Coordinating schedules and contract milestones
• Preparing clear, accurate weekly status reports
• Supporting procurement and contract administration
• Helping field teams avoid delays and solve problems fast
• Struggle to keep track of details, documents, or schedules.
• Communicating with detailers, engineers, and vendors
• Tracking project documents, RFIs, and submittals in real time

Requirements

• You like process and teamwork
• You like managing details and you're not afraid to make decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• You communicate clearly and professionally with everyone from welders to executives.
• Dislike coordinating with multiple people or resolving conflicts.
• Real Responsibility: You'll be key to job planning, detailing, procurement, and schedule management.
• 13 years of experience in structural steel, construction, or project coordination
• Reliable transportation and willingness to visit active job sites
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in construction environments
• Leadership That Has Your Back: You'll report to experienced PMs and our Director of Project Management, who will coach you, not micromanage you.
• Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills
• You're proactive and thrive on getting things done before someone asks.
• Familiarity with Tekla PowerFab, Project Sight, and Microsoft Office
