Key duties include greeting customers, identifying their needs, delivering fast and efficient service, and building strong relationships. You will keep the yard, counter and shop floor to high standards, operate machinery safely and handle off‑loading, picking, packing, restocking and vehicle loading. Providing product advice, cross‑selling services such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire, communicating pricing, supporting sales initiatives and continuously learning our product ranges are also essential.
- Greet every customer, assess their needs and deliver swift, efficient service.
- Ask open‑ended questions to uncover current and future requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization across yard, counter and shop floor.
- Operate machinery safely; perform off‑loading, picking, packing, restocking and vehicle loading.
- Advise customers on product ranges and cross‑sell services such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire.
- Communicate accurate pricing and support initiatives to boost sales, margin and service.
- Continuously expand knowledge of core and specialist product lines.
