As an Instrumentation & Controls Project Lead Engineer you will lead project teams, collaborating with other I&C engineers on the design of new upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities. You will develop P&ID, I/O lists, control panel designs, C&E development, control narratives, network architecture, cable schedules, location plans, and procurement specifications, while also participating in Process Hazard Analysis and design reviews. Direct interaction with client representatives will be required to address design questions, and you will travel to client, vendor, and plant sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification. Mentoring through technical sessions and on‑the‑job training, as well as independent reviews of others' work, are key components of the role, which follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the Englewood, CO office.
The position requires a BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, strong academic preparation in analog and digital control systems, and 15+ years of oil and gas or industrial experience, including 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering. Candidates must be proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and thrive in collaborative team environments. A PE license, AutoCAD proficiency, and experience with SCADA and radio networks are valued but not mandatory. Sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is not offered.
