Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

Description

The Superintendent will manage day-to-day onsite operations for multifamily projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans and schedules. This role leads field coordination, supervises subcontractors, and partners closely with the project management team from site mobilization through turnover.

• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, safety logs, and site documentation
• Oversee quality control, verify work meets drawings/specifications, and document any field discrepancies
• Maintain project schedule, develop short-term look-ahead plans, and coordinate sequencing
• Enforce safety policies, conduct daily safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Lead all onsite construction activities for multifamily projects from start through completion
• Coordinate inspections with city officials, third-party testers, and consultants
• Work closely with the project manager to address field issues, resolve conflicts, and support cost/schedule adjustments
• Support punch list completion, unit walks, and final turnover activities
• Represent the company professionally with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners onsite
• Manage jobsite logistics including deliveries, materials, equipment, and site organization
• Direct subcontractor crews, monitor production, and maintain daily jobsite workflow

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of scheduling, site logistics, and quality control practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Proficiency with construction management tools for reporting and documentation
• 5+ years of construction field supervision experience, preferably in multifamily or mixed-use projects
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and manage fast-paced jobsite operations
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Strong understanding of wood-frame, podium, garden-style, or wrap construction
