Develop and refine a design methodology that results in creative, sound solutions to a given problem.
Learn and implement illustration, design and CAD standards established for the group and be accountable for their proper implementation.
Build increasing skills in preparing hard-scape, grading, planting and irrigation graphics, plans and illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats.
Consult with product manufacturers to research, evaluate and select construction materials.
Begin visiting construction sites to gather information and support senior project team members during the construction phase.
Visit pre-development sites to conduct tree surveys and site analysis used in the design process.
Build increasing skills in review and interpretation of regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans.
Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities and constraints for development.
Begin to participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or closely related field.
Ability self-regulate multiple assignments and deadlines.
Working toward or desire to gain license as a Registered Landscape Architecture.
Strong freehand illustration and computer rendering skills.
Working knowledge of common software including AutoCAD/FX, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design), Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
