
You’ll play a key role in our Development team by working closely with our land and planning team pre-contract stage, and procuring and negotiating building works contracts to support successful delivery. In addition, you will use your management experience to manage and/or mentor Development officers.
We have ambitious goals here, but through your decisiveness, persuasiveness and the ability to find creative solutions, you’ll help deliver on exciting corporate strategy and make a huge impact at Abri that won’t go unnoticed.
You will have demonstratable skills in leading contract negotiations and obtaining Board approval as well as extensive experience of managing complex builds budgets and accounts.
With a keen eye for detail and a strong commercial awareness, you’ll take the initiative and identify opportunities to maximise the value of these schemes while ensuring they remain continuously viable. Not only must our new homes be completed to the highest of standards, they have to be delivered on time and within budget so excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to ensure we always meet or exceed on agreed timescales, budget and customer expectations will be essential.
This position requires applicants to have a Degree level, or professional membership of a construction related institute, e.g. RICS, RIBA, RTPI, CIOB. or extensive work experience in the sector.
You’ll be working with a range of stakeholders both internal and external including local authorities, Homes England and our development partners so being able to quickly build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders is a must.
