- Taking responsibility for UK taxation (Corporation and Employment Tax) including preparation of corporation tax computations, VAT returns, general tax compliance and reconciliation of tax control accounts within the General Ledger.
- Being the lead contact for external and internal auditors.
- Leading the project to simplify the current legal entity structure.
- Taking responsibility for the intercompany process and month end reconciliations.
- Preparation and delivery of UK statutory accounts.
- Taking ownership of Local Financial Control Framework (FCF), finance policies and procedures and working to enhance process and control throughout the finance function and the business.
- Supporting projects and group initiatives with the BAFC as required.
- Acting as a stakeholder in the treasury approvals/bank administrations services.

- Excellent commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of end to end P&L and balance sheet of a professional services/contract business.
- The ability to influence strategic decision making within the business and be able to make commercial decisions with defined parameters (delivering to agreed project scope, time, cost and quality).
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional membership/qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA together with extensive experience in preparation of group accounts.
- Experience of auditing or collaborating closely with auditors.
- A good knowledge of accounting software with excellent Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- The ability to produce high quality financial reporting for leadership decision making.
