Own the technical delivery and strategy throughout the pre-construction phase, ensuring compliance with Dalkia’s Project Delivery System (PDS).
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
Work closely with digital engineers, project engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of design across all phases.
Establish and oversee technical deliverables plans, managing internal and external design reviews.
Ensure fully coordinated and clearly communicated designs across all disciplines.
Define consultant scope, manage design fees, and align deliverables with pricing, procurement, and delivery strategies (including DRM/BG6).
Coordinate the engagement of specialist contributors (e.g. MMC/offsite, CDP designers) at appropriate project stages.
Discharge Dalkia’s legal and technical duties under CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act.
Identify, manage, and mitigate design and technical risks effectively.
Drive value engineering processes and manage design changes in collaboration with project teams.

Dalkia Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join our Technical team in Bolton, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-profile projects and driving technical excellence

Strong and proven experience across Building Services Engineering, with exposure to sectors such as healthcare or commercial
Experience managing design risk and specialist input (e.g., MMC, CDP)
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards - Desirable
Skilled in stakeholder coordination and design communication
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng, or MSc) - Desirable
Pre-construction design management experience on MEP projects valued between £5M–£50M
