Tasks
-Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. -Develop an understanding of the business processes. -Manage Oracle databases (11g, 19c) located at the Davenport Works location through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. -Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. -Support Arconic Compliance activities by performing annual system testing for adherence to IT System and Audit requirements, assists audit teams and internal audit teams as required, and performs Disaster Recovery testing as required. -Implement and maintain robust backup & DR practices. -Manage PHP scripts and Pro C application for data processing between the Oracle databases and other systems. -Operate within Arconic’s IT standards and conventions. Ensure appropriate methodologies, support processes, and procedures are followed. -Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. -Configure and maintain database processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. -Develop and maintain strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

This includes knowledge of systems architecture, hardware, operations, and life cycle. -Strong relationship skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management. -Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. -Knowledge of API or rest services integrations. -Experience with translating business requirements into system functional and non-functional requirements. -5 years’ minimum experience in a similar role. -This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee. -Knowledgeable in data analysis and interpretation to develop process mapping, modeling, and documentation. -Knowledgeable in security solutions with SSL certificates and password hashing. -Solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, math, or related subject. -Demonstrate critical thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. -Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. -Knowledgeable with the Oracle Linux OS to include support of RPM packages supporting ssh, sftp, email, RPC and alerting functionality. -Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. -Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices, including firewall rules, Active Directory, secure transmissions, and low-level security. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. -Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution. -Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
