The EHS Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our client’s safety management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. This position actively drives a culture of safety across the organization — ensuring every process, project, and person operates to the highest standard of environmental, health, and safety excellence.

  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and reduce hazards across manufacturing and fabrication operations.
  • Manage safety management software platforms for documentation, records, and compliance tracking.
  • Promote a proactive, people-first safety culture through communication, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for technical safety guidance in manufacturing, fabrication, and industrial construction.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards.
  • Oversee corrective action planning and follow-up from audits or incident investigations.
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to integrate safety systems into daily production, maintenance, and equipment installation activities.
  • Lead the development and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems/software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Office and manufacturing plant settings with regular exposure to active production areas.
  • Occasional travel (25–40%) to multiple plants or project sites.
  • CSP, ASP, or CHST certification preferred; ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification a plus.
  • Frequent site inspections requiring PPE and physical mobility (walking, standing, climbing).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in safety management within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction.
