The role requires obtaining and maintaining the necessary training approvals and authorisations, ensuring that engine and module processes such as induct, strip, repair, build, test, preservation and dispatch comply with regulations and approved design data (e.g., EASA Part 145, Part 21, MS8). It also involves analysing documentation, validating modifications, checking service bulletins and airworthiness directives, and managing non‑conformances throughout the certification process.
Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Certification Engineer for a second‑ment role within its Defence team in Bristol. The engineer will support Defence Assembly operations and deliver Original Equipment (OE) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) certification to meet delivery commitments. The position involves working as part of the certification team on engine and module projects as required.
Candidates must hold at least an ONC/HNC NVQ Level 4 and have training in non‑conformance management, 8D problem‑resolution, and root‑cause analysis. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, data‑driven decision making, and a Green Belt accreditation are advantageous; internal audit qualification, preferably as a Lead Auditor, is also sought.
