The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that secure product‑related goods and services at the best cost and quality. Responsibilities include supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and close collaboration with MTU America, finance, and administration to align with corporate policies.
Leadership duties involve directing a purchasing team, setting goals, evaluating performance, and fostering staff competence. The role also oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance with the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct while maintaining a safe work environment.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Business Administration and have at least seven years of relevant experience (or eleven years without a degree), be able to work flexible hours, and travel domestically and internationally. Preferred qualifications include proven leadership, strong negotiation and analytical skills, knowledge of SAP, MTU products, blueprint interpretation, and fluency in German or an MBA.
