Generate the initial investigation for Health, Safety and Environmental incidents and input data onto the proper documentation to be forwarded to the Management Team.

Reviews and investigates accident/incident reports, compiling findings and recommendations for corrective actions into summary report.

Coordinate and lead the Emergency Evacuation / Emergency Weather Preparedness Procedures.
Actively participate in regular safety inspections and promptly report any identified hazards.
Generate monthly reports as directed by the Powell management.
Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in HSE.
Assist the HSE Manager / Supervisor with the implementation of environment, safety and health programs, as directed.
Maintain accurate records of HSE related activities and incidents.
Communicate safety concerns or observations to the HSE Supervisor.
Will serve as a member and conduct facility safety committee meetings.
Interface between manufacturing employees and Powell Leadership Team
Conduct and lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to include CPR/First Aid & AED Training.
Actively participate in HSE related discussions within the team.
Report accidents or incidents promptly and assist in investigations as needed.
Conduct safety orientation for new employees and contractors if necessary.
Research, plan, organize and conduct training programs/seminars for Powell supervisors with regard to fall protection, Orientation, Personal Protection Equipment, Lockout/ Tag-out / Confined Space, etc.
Responsible for monitoring adherence to company safety program by all company employees and subcontractors.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety audits.
Ensure safe operation and maintenance of safety equipment and tools.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
Attend, and actively engage in HSE training sessions.

Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE role within an organization.

Be prepared and trained to respond effectively to emergency situations.
High school diploma
Business aptitude is desirable.
Able to manage remote resources and tasks to accomplish objectives.
OSHA 511 & #501 Trainer (40 hour) courses
Able to lead teams.
