Assist with activities that ensure proper implementation and maintenance of Aecon’s Welding and QA Program.
Prepare weld documentation and conduct technical research to support discipline work planners and field engineers.
Assist with the implementation of Welding Program Management software.
Provide support for welder qualification processes and maintain qualification records.
Monitor weld filler material issuance and prepare weekly welding status reports.
May assist with mechanical and piping field engineering tasks such as material inventory control and work package reviews.
Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Support welding constructability evaluations during the design phase.
Review contract and design specifications to help develop project welding requirements.
Manage welding-related databases, including procedures, specifications, and qualification records.

Coursework or experience in heavy construction or nuclear industry welding and fabrication.
Experience with Welding Management Software.
Basic knowledge of ASME BPVC Section IX and related sections (I, II, III, VIII, B31.1) or AWS D1.1.
Familiarity with advanced welding systems, robotic welding, and NDE methods.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Welding, Mechanical or Structural Engineering, Materials Science, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
Understanding of welding procedure development, filler material specifications, and post-weld heat treatment processes.
Proficient in computer software, including welding management tools.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain security clearances for plant site access if required.
Physically able to perform job duties (e.g., walking, climbing ladders, working at heights, confined spaces, lifting up to 25 lbs.).
Willingness to travel occasionally between home office and remote sites.
