To provide mechanical building services engineering support during the construction, commissioning, and handover phases of complex infrastructure assets on the HS2 project – the largest infrastructure project in Europe. This role plays a critical part in ensuring design intent is met, quality standards are upheld, and construction progresses on time and within budget. The engineer will collaborate with HS2 representatives, design consultants, and the subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with UK regulations and HS2 specifications.

Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.

Working knowledge of relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and design guides (e.g., CIBSE Guides, BS EN standards).
Degree (BEng/BSc or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems relevant to infrastructure buildings, including: Ventilation systems, Heat pumps, Firefighting stair pressurisation, Domestic hot and cold water, Stormwater and foul drainage (above and below ground), Fire hydrant and gaseous suppression systems, Building Management Systems (BMS).
Familiarity with health and safety standards in the UK construction industry.
Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
