Plant Operator

Description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently starting and regulating plant processing equipment. The Plant Operator will run and monitor plant operations from a centralized location under the direction of the Plant Manager and Foreman.

• Start, monitor, and regulate plant processing equipment per company guidelines and safety standards
• Adjust equipment programming to maximize production
• Generate work requests using the maintenance planning program
• Maintain daily production reports and exchange relevant information with others
• Monitor and maintain the load‑out area and operate mobile equipment as needed
• Operate other mobile and plant equipment (e.g., skid steer, front‑end loader) safely when required
• Conduct pre‑shift equipment/plant inspections and complete required paperwork accurately
• Assist with plant operations and equipment repairs
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas
• Help train co‑workers as needed

Requirements

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, and experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
