The Performance/Simulation/Application Engineer in the Large Power Systems Division serves as an experienced contributor on complex projects that enhance product performance, durability, reliability, and quality. This role partners with global teams, provides technical guidance, stays abreast of emerging technologies, and expands a professional network.

Execute torsional vibration analysis (TVA) for engine drivelines and perform geartrain dynamics simulations using in‑house tools.
Define simulation requirements with cross‑functional teams for new product development, issue resolution, and cost‑reduction projects.
Document analysis objectives, assumptions, methods, results, and conclusions clearly.
Interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements.
Collaborate with engine test teams to enhance simulation tool capabilities.
Stay current with emerging technologies and help develop new simulation methods and tools.

The position requires a Bachelor’s (5–8 years), Master’s (3–4 years), or Doctorate (2–3 years) in engineering, with strong knowledge of engine dynamics, vibration analysis, and formal coursework in vibrations. Desired experience includes internal combustion engines, torsional dynamics testing, multi‑body dynamics simulation, finite element analysis, and project leadership.

Key competencies include accuracy, analytical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, technical excellence, and basic project‑management understanding.
