Mechanical Analysis Tech Leader (Remote Eligible, US)

Description

• Meet customer commitments and drive continuous improvement.
• Articulate the work plan team will use to address the technical work scope requested.
• Communicate effectively the status of engineering and project priorities to the team, stakeholders and management.
• Work with project managers to develop and maintain good project schedules
• Work Engineering leadership and personnel to assure compliance to procedures, standards and regulatory criteria.
• Establish best practices and or leverage best practices within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or University
• Nuclear Industry knowledge / experience
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a technology or engineering role
• Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative environment
• Minimum 7 years of experience performing mechanical analysis using ANSYS and APDL (stress analysis, heat transfer, non-linear systems, vibrations, fatigue and/or fracture mechanics)
• Strong communication and writing skills and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
• Master’s Degree or greater in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or University, preferably in Mechanical or Engineering Physics.
• Strong facilitation, team building, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of project management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical analysis fundamentals – stress analysis, heat transfer, vibrations, flaw evaluation
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience or leading teams
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and process skills
