Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of reports and the development of project design elements including calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates
Produce detailed, highquality final design plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable procedures and standards
Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and development of project documents
Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project’s purpose and the client’s needs
May serve as a Team Leader on bridge inspection projects
Serve as a technical specialist and consultant to transportation engineering disciplines on transportationrelated projects

Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule
Possess or able to obtain NBIS Certified Bridge Inspector status
Ability to lead teams through all phases of a project document production
Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and other similar material
Minimum of 7 years of experience working with LADOTD, MDOT, and/or TDOT
Technical proficiency in relevant areas of bridge design, understanding of various design methods, and a thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions
Professional Engineering license is required
Possess a P.E. license in Louisiana, Mississippi, and/or Tennessee or able to obtain within the next 12 years.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions to others
Proficient in Microstation, OpenBridge, AASHTOWare BrR, MDX, LEAP, and other relevant design software
Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, master's degree preferred
