The BIM Coordinator I supports both project and REI coordination standards by working closely with field supervisors, project managers, and the Lead Modeler to integrate electrical systems into BIM models, manage coordination meetings, and ensure accurate documentation of any changes that affect cost or schedule.
Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience in the electrical construction industry, including familiarity with electrical symbols. A blend of education, training, and relevant experience is acceptable.
Success in this role requires proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Glue, Design Review, and other detailing and coordination software, as well as competence in Microsoft Office and, preferably, Oracle. Strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to adapt under time pressure are essential.
