Transplants and removes trees and shrubs and prepares trees for moving
Inspects trees to determine if they have diseases or pest problems
Cables, braces, ties, bolts, stakes, and guides trees and branches to provide support
Cuts away dead and excess branches from trees
Operates boom trucks, stump chippers, brush chippers, power saws, sprayers, and other equipment
Clears branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms
Cleans, sharpens, and lubricates tools and equipment
Supervises others engaged in tree trimming work and trains lower-level employees

Legally authorized to work in the United States
Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
Demonstrate an understanding of the safe handling and operation of chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders
Semi-skilled in mechanics
Must be able to complete a proficiency test consisting of climbing, knot tying, and chainsaw maintenance
18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
Proficient in proper tree groundwork, including but not limited to basic tree pruning and tree removal
Attention to detail
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
Ability to problem solve
Organizational skills
