Routinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, repetitive hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed
Repair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessary
Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation

Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
At least two years of copper splicing experience
Must be familiar with AT&T 710 splicing system.
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Must know standard telecom cable color code
Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
To be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Must be able to remove/install or rearrange waffle closure
Must be experienced working from ladders and bucket trucks
