As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer you will support product development and design of high‑power three‑phase UPSs, as well as Energy Storage and Data Center of the Future product lines. The role spans the entire product life‑cycle from concept through production, collaborating with a global, multidisciplinary team.
Key duties include launching critical‑power infrastructure that meets Eaton’s safety, quality, reliability, cost and schedule commitments; designing SiC‑based UPSs ranging from 20 kW to 2.5 MW and large lithium‑ion storage systems; working with cross‑functional and global teams to resolve performance, safety, reliability and component‑availability challenges; and supporting DVT, validation testing, prototype builds and customer deliveries.
Candidates must hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with at least two years of power‑electronics experience (or an M.S. with one year) and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D., expertise in inverter theory, battery systems, and three‑phase power conversion. Required skills cover digital control, magnetics design, HIL simulation, MATLAB/Simulink/PLECS/PSPICE, and PCB design tools such as Altium or Cadence, along with strong communication and safety awareness.
