  • Assist in managing work schedules and controlling budgets within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Evaluate groundwater flow and chemistry data.

  • Conduct borehole logging, monitoring well installation, maintenance of groundwater wells, hydraulic well testing, and surface water and groundwater sampling.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites across Western and Northern Canada.
  • Exhibit excellent communication while coordinating with clients and contractors.
  • Experience in groundwater supply projects including design and installation of water supply and observation wells and execution of aquifer testing programs (as per the regulatory requirements for obtaining groundwater diversion licenses) for clients.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Professional registration with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Alberta (APEGA), or equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting simple analytical models to assess fate and transport of contaminants in subsurface and analyze aquifer properties.
  • Demonstrated competency in soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, test pitting, monitoring well installations and aquifer testing (e.g., slug, step, pumping and packer testing).
  • Experience in managing projects, developing accurate scopes of work, and executing high quality projects on time and on budget.
  • Mechanical aptitude would be an asset for troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment in the field.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in a related field (reference will be given to candidates with environmental consulting experience).
  • In depth knowledge of the Alberta Tier 1 framework, and federal environmental regulations, guidelines and standards related to Contaminated Sites.
  • Numerical modeling is not required but will be considered as an asset.
  • Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in geology, geoscience, or engineering, focusing on contaminant or physical hydrogeology.
