What you would be doing

  • Engage, direct, and assist aggregate and asphalt plant management to ensure environmental compliance across multiple media, including air, water, waste, and chemical management.
  • Manage other regulatory compliance items related to biological resources, due diligence, chemical, petroleum, and waste management.
  • Manage the Corporate Environmental Audit schedule for all facilities, including timely reporting and close out of findings.
  • Manage routine stormwater permitting requirements, including renewals, sampling, and reporting.
  • Assist in annual environmental training.
  • Manage air permitting requirements, including annual reports, emissions inventories, applications, modifications, and performance testing.
  • Required to be on-call for emergency spill response as needed
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with regulators and serve as a direct line of communication on technical and permitting matters between regulatory agencies, environmental management, and site personnel.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in engineering, biology, earth sciences, chemistry, or other related fields.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong time management and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional related experience (in addition to education requirements).
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including waste, air, stormwater, and tanks.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 10% of the time for training and site visits.
