Lead structural design efforts for a diverse range of infrastructure projects, tailoring solutions to meet site‑specific conditions, regulatory requirements, and project goals. Conduct structural assessments and engineering analyses to inform innovative, data‑driven project strategies. Create high‑quality technical deliverables, including calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, bringing creativity and technical expertise to sustainable design solutions that align with industry codes and client expectations. Support project execution by monitoring scope, schedule, and budget, and travel up to 25 % for site visits, design meetings, and construction oversight activities.
To succeed in this role, you should be proficient in structural design software, particularly STAAD Pro, and have practical experience using AutoCAD and Revit. A thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards—such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines—is essential. You will be expected to prepare and review a wide range of engineering documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key, especially for technical writing and documentation. You will thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment and be passionate about sustainability and innovative design solutions.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred. At least eight years of structural engineering design experience is required, preferably supporting water or wastewater infrastructure projects. EIT certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
