The Technical Designer will manage the technical and production design aspects of signage projects from concept through fabrication, including ADA signage, Sign Agent projects, and other custom signs that require precision and detailed construction. The role emphasizes technical execution and production feasibility over pure graphic design, and it supports both operations and customers within the division.
Responsibilities include creating fabrication‑ready shop drawings, interpreting architectural and site documents for code compliance, specifying appropriate materials and construction methods, and collaborating with sales and clients on accurate designs. The position also leads complex custom signage workflows, coordinates with vendors, conducts site surveys, handles inquiries, follows ordering procedures, and maintains clear communication with internal teams and clients.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with Sign Agent or CAD tools considered a plus. Strong verbal and written communication, a solid work ethic, ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, meticulous attention to detail, and a team‑oriented mindset are essential.
