Description

The Master Data Governance Lead (US Remote, $123,463‑$145,250) will establish and operationalize Kidde Global Solutions’ data governance framework to improve data quality, consistency, and trust. This role is pivotal in maturing the data environment, creating a foundation for analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision making. You will define data ownership, implement governance processes, and collaborate with business and technical teams to manage critical master data domains such as Product, Customer, and Supplier. The position requires both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution in a complex, evolving data landscape.

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes.
• Partner with business units to identify data owners and stewards.
• Lead initiatives to improve master data quality for product, customer, and supplier domains.
• Design data quality measurement processes and dashboards, defining KPIs for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Implement and maintain a business glossary and data catalog to increase discoverability.
• Define and enforce policies for data access, usage, retention, and compliance.
• Promote data literacy and educate teams on governance standards and best practices.
• Align governance with system design, reporting, and analytical use cases alongside data engineering and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics.
• Minimum 2 years focused on data governance or MDM.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.
• Experience defining and operationalizing data ownership and standards across functions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as JDE or SAP.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical governance processes and documentation.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with digital or data transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Power BI, or similar modern data‑stack components.
• Manufacturing or industrial sector experience is a plus.

Compensation includes a base salary of $123,463‑$145,250 and eligibility for an annual performance bonus tied to individual and company outcomes.
