- Enforce data standards, validation rules, and version control protocols.
- Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
- Collaborate with asset management teams to align GIS data with operational needs.
- Manage workload distribution and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Translate technical concepts into actionable strategies for stakeholders.
- Lead client-facing workshops and discovery sessions with cross-functional groups including IT, engineering, planning, and operations.
- Provides technical and management leadership for a discipline or area of responsibility.
- Optimize data development workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain and update GIS data schemas tailored to various client requirements.
- Ensure data interoperability and traceability across platforms.
- Design and document data workflows between GIS, BIM (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D), and asset management systems (e.g., Maximo, Cityworks).
- Supervise and mentor GIS staff, delegating tasks across concurrent projects.
- Evaluate and implement the right balance between automated data processing (e.g., ETL tools, scripts) and manual editing.

- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and FME.
- 14+ years of professional experience in GIS, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Experience in airport, municipal, or utility environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of NIST, FAA, or TSA data governance standards
- Working knowledge of CityWorks AMS or PLL modules.
- Institute of Asset Management (AIM) Certification
- Experience with Python, SQL, or ModelBuilder is a plus.
- Understand and support Cityworks configurations, including service request workflows, asset hierarchies, and spatial integrations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or related field.
- Strong understanding of utility and infrastructure data models.
- Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with senior-level managers within the company and with key officials of other organizations and companies, and is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
- BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
- Familiarity with asset management systems such as Maximo, Cartegraph, Cityworks or Infor.
- Schema Management & Data Governance
- Experience with BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D) and integration with GIS.
- GIS Professional (GISP), GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).
- At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature technical judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual structure/design problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse activities.
