  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, cost forecasting, and budget control across multiple projects.
  • Oversee procurement strategy, subcontractor management, and supply chain relationships.
  • Manage and mitigate commercial risks, disputes, and claims.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Support bid/tender processes and contribute to securing future work.

Our client, a reputable North West based contractor, are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Manager to join their growing team delivering new build social housing projects across the North West. You will lead the commercial function, overseeing all aspects of cost management, procurement, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards.

  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager (or Senior QS stepping up) within construction, ideally housing.
  • Strong track record in delivering new build social housing or affordable housing projects.
  • Degree-qualified (RICS or equivalent desirable) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of JCT / NEC contracts and commercial best practice.
