In this role you will shape strategies and forge partnerships that deliver real impact for communities, industry and government, strengthening the organisation’s purpose, brand and reputation while tackling national, regional and local challenges.
You will work closely with senior leaders, corporate affairs and the wider business to ensure a consistent and impactful approach to engagement and reputation building.
- Lead design and delivery of ambitious place strategies and plans.
- Support critical local and regional plans, including growth strategies and investment prospectuses.
- Drive strategic partnerships from concept to execution, building relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Engage with influential leaders across business and industry.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs and the wider business to ensure consistent, impactful engagement and reputation building.

The position blends hands‑on project experience with strategic business development, enabling you to see initiatives through to fruition and unlock broader growth objectives across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in corporate affairs, politics, local government or civil service, a deep understanding of UK government and regional policy, and the ability to turn strategic concepts into practical delivery programmes.
- Proven experience in corporate affairs, political, local government, or civil service roles.
- Ability to translate strategic concepts into practical delivery programmes with hands‑on project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of UK Government workings and regional/devolved policy.
- Exceptional senior‑level relationship‑building skills.
- Expertise in strategic planning, leadership, change management, and political awareness.
