Asset Manager

The Asset Manager is a senior-level position responsible for maximizing the performance, value, and returns of a multifamily real estate portfolio. This role blends strategic asset oversight with rigorous financial analysis—including modeling, forecasting, and transactional support. The ideal candidate brings deep multifamily experience and strong financial acumen to drive data-backed decision-making and long-term value creation.

• Support underwriting and scenario analysis for refinancing, dispositions, and hold/sell decisions.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform revenue and expense assumptions.
• Participate in business plan execution and strategic planning across assigned assets.
• Maintain key internal schedules and trackers related to reporting timelines, project milestones, and performance deliverables.
• Monitor and track capital improvement projects, leasing trends, occupancy levels, and concession activity.
• Lead or assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal committees or external partners.
• Assist with the preparation and review of annual budgets, reforecasts, and capital plans.
• Collaborate with property and regional managers to optimize rent growth, expense control, and leasing execution.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal leadership and investors.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast cash flows, track investment performance, and assess value-add strategies.
• Support lender reporting, valuation updates, and other compliance requirements as needed.
• Monitor asset-level financial performance, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and budget-to-actuals comparisons.

REPORTS TO LOCATION: Open to hybrid remote, but prefer fully onsite

• Legal & Regulatory Knowledge
• Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education/training is a bonus.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Demonstrates sound decision-making, critical thinking, and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Collaboration & Independence: Able to balance working autonomously with fostering teamwork across departments or teams.
• Proven experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and investment analysis.
• Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours with breaks).
• Ability to hear and communicate effectively, including via phone.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Federal, State, and Local Laws pertaining to Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant Laws.
• Customer & Stakeholder Focus: Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in property management software.
• Adaptability: Flexible in adjusting to changing priorities, managing stressful environments, and navigating ambiguity.
• Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation. Employees may be required to report to different locations for work, and attend offsite meetings, training sessions, conferences, events, etc.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computers, copiers, and phones).
• Organizational & Strategic Planning: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and drive long-term planning and goal execution while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to be on-call, carry a cell phone, and adjust work schedules as needed for major project assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (Preferred)
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey expectations clearly, provide constructive feedback, and interact professionally and respectfully with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Proficient in basic mathematical, computer, and software skills, with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
• Multi-Tasking: Capable of managing multiple projects and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in multifamily asset management or financial analysis
• Ability to climb stairs.
