Mechanical Project Engineer

Tasks

-Requisitions material and equipment for capital projects. -Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers & contractors. -Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications. -Prepares layout & design drawings as required. -Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested. -Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions. -Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures. -Prepares progress reports on capital projects. -Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments. -Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment. -Represents engineering department on cross functional teams. -Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes. -Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years

What You Bring

-5+ years experience in process or manufacturing engineering. -Confident and steady under pressure -Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge -Thorough & organized -Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT -Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree. -Process and operations knowledge.
