  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the financing community and help Bechtel’s businesses understand financing market trends as part of supporting business development efforts in the region.
  • Lead economic analysis of potential projects, new markets, and M&A opportunities in the Middle East.
  • Liaise with private and public stakeholders in the Middle East, including financiers, government entities, and developers (amongst others).
  • Lead origination of project opportunities for Bechtel Enterprises in the region in collaboration with and in support of Bechtel’s businesses.
  • Lead Bechtel Enterprises’ efforts in the Middle East related to project origination, investment analysis, development, and financing.
  • Spearhead project financing activities including financial modeling, investment analysis, development of financing plans, and raising debt, equity, and export credit agency financing.
  • Provide financial input into commercial structuring and negotiation process to ensure contracts can support financing commitments, including from export credit agencies.
  • Support customers with structuring procurement processes, evaluating bids, and closing transactions.

  • Experience with infrastructure lenders, equity investors, and/or export credit agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience with project financing transactions.
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally (if necessary).
  • Prefer Master’s Degree or MBA.
  • 10+ years’ experience in project finance, consulting, and/or development.
  • Proven project origination skills.
  • Relevant work experience in the Middle East.
  • An ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, finance, or a technical / engineering field.
  • Regional language skills, while not required, are preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal and business relationship-building skills.
