Leasing Law Clerk (6 to 12 month Contract)

Manage full lifecycle of commercial lease docs, drafting, negotiation & coordination.
Monitor the progress of leasing matters, summarize key information, and provide regular status updates to the legal and business teams.
Respond to lease-related inquiries from the business for day-to-day matters.
Ensure all lease documentation is prepared in compliance with internal corporate policies, procedures, and governance standards.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial lease documents, including leases, lease amending agreements, lease extension agreements, pylon sign agreements, offers to lease, and other related documentation.
Coordinate with external legal counsel as required.
Liaise with different business groups, departments and stakeholders within the company and affiliated companies.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
5+ years of commercial leasing experience gained at a law firm or in-house with a real estate company, with a strong focus on drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related legal documents.
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret lease provisions and identify potential risks or inconsistencies.
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and dependability, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Comfortable with digital collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, DocuSign) to streamline document management and approvals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook).
Strong knowledge of commercial leasing, with strong legal drafting, documentation, and negotiation skills.
