Description

The Lead Production Associate works the third shift (11 PM‑7:30 AM EST, M‑F with rotating weekends) and supports a team of 5‑8 machines, handling order fulfillment, quality control, housekeeping, shift handoff, equipment maintenance, leadership, training and business systems.

• Operate and supervise 5‑8 machines to fulfill orders, using RF gun to locate and weigh materials, and input data into batch equipment.
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning equipment.
• Stage materials and provide shift handoff reports covering productivity, downtime and quality issues.
• Conduct quality control by verifying raw material dates, collecting samples, and adjusting batches based on QC results.
• Escalate equipment and material maintenance needs, shortages or repairs.
• Lead, mentor and train team members, balance workload, act as supervisor when needed, and address performance concerns with HR.
• Maintain business systems by closing work orders, performing physical inventory, and updating inventory availability.

Requirements

The role requires at least five years of plant experience, proficiency with plant equipment, ability to perform basic math, read orders, communicate clearly, and meet physical demands such as lifting 60 lb, standing most of the day, and occasional twisting, squatting and climbing.

• Meet physical requirements: lift ≥60 lb, stand 80‑85 % of the day, push/pull 55 lb, and perform occasional twisting, bending, squatting, climbing or crawling.
• Possess 5+ years plant experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with plant equipment and basic math.
