Verify packing lists, purchase orders, Bill of Ladings, or other documents to determine priorities, accuracies, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules and/or customer requirements.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and backorders to accurately process orders using appropriate computer software.
Work Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
Responsible for pre-packaging and/or final packaging of customer orders.
Perform pickups of finished product or parts for transport to the shipping department.
Function as a liaison between the shipping staff, internal departments, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders, including arranging transportation schedules with carriers.
Periodically load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/ pickup vehicles and replenish shipping materials.
Use appropriate packaging materials to ensure all products/parts are properly packaged to prevent damage and/or loss.
Coordinate material movement both in the appropriate computer system as determined systematically and physically with use of a forklift, tugger, hand jack, and pushcart to deliver product to appropriate department as needed to support production needs.
Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify proper personnel for maintenance when needed.
Maintain an organized layout and safe work environment.
Receive incoming materials, processing in appropriate computer software, verifying part numbers and quantities of product to appropriate paperwork.
