Assistant Maintenance Manager ($3,500 Sign On Bonus)

• Lead by example, modeling Bozzuto’s core values and culture.
• Provide timely follow‑ups and meticulous completion of resident service tickets.
• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Manage make‑ready and apartment turnover processes with detail and timeliness.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs to preserve building value.
• Maintain building beauty and safety through general upkeep, cleaning, snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Sustain peak efficiency of all property components.
• Adhere to building, county and safety codes while maintaining an accident‑free operation.
• Work weekends and participate in the emergency on‑call rotation.

Requirements

We seek candidates with at least five years of experience in trades, facilities or residential building maintenance, strong leadership aptitude, and relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA or NAPE. A solid knowledge of risk management, OSHA, MSDS, and proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair, along with basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills, are essential.

• 5+ years experience in trades, facilities or residential building maintenance.
• Strong leadership aptitude; supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Exposure to complex mechanical systems (central plant, split systems, boilers, chillers) desired.
• Safety mindset and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional appearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using various technology platforms.
• Availability for emergency situations, including on‑call rotation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lb frequently or 10–20 lb constantly, climb stairs, use ladders and work in varying weather conditions.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $52,000–$57,500 USD, eligibility for bonus opportunities, and applications are accepted through January 12, 2026. Availability for weekend work, emergency on‑call rotation, and the physical ability to lift and maneuver in varied weather conditions are required.
