The position requires 11‑15 years of experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) or an equivalent master’s degree, and an active PE license. Candidates must have independent experience in bridge design, detailing, and seismic analysis, with preferred project work for MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, or PANYNJ.
- Apply extensive knowledge of structural engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Deliver effective verbal presentations and high‑quality technical writing.
- Work collaboratively while also capable of independent performance.
- Utilize in‑depth knowledge of NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and MTA bridge design standards.
- Employ robust technical and critical‑thinking skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Demonstrate strong project management abilities and motivation to lead and mentor others.
- Use structural engineering software such as AASHTOWare, Midas Civil, OpenBridge Designer, or MDX; AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation are a plus.
- Possess 11‑15 years of experience and a BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) – master’s degree may substitute 1‑2 years.
- Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Preferably have project experience with MTA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, or PANYNJ.
