Head of Engineering – Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS)

• Lead innovation initiatives in AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms, digital health, and connected ecosystems.
• Translate complex healthcare and life sciences challenges into scalable engineering solutions.
• Engage with CxO-level stakeholders to understand their business and technology needs.
• Foster engineering culture of agility, reliability, and “fail-fast/learn-fast” experimentation.
• Oversee end-to-end engineering across multiple programs — from architecture and design to delivery and operations.
• Drive best practices in secure, compliant, and scalable software development (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR, GxP).
• Drive co-innovation opportunities with clients and partners
• Encourage continuous learning, research, and adoption of emerging technologies in healthcare and life sciences.
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across data, cloud, platform, and application layers.
• Strategic Leadership Define and drive the technology strategy for the HLS practice, aligned with business objectives and client needs.
• Partner with senior leadership, product management, and domain experts to shape offerings across healthcare providers, payers, MedTech, pharma, and biotech.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) practice. This role will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling technology solutions that transform patient care, accelerate drug discovery, optimize healthcare operations, and improve overall health outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep engineering leadership with strong domain knowledge in healthcare, life sciences, and compliance-driven environments.

• Consulting Experience
• Strong background in modern engineering practices — microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, LLMOps,
• Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), clinical systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, mission-critical engineering programs (cloud, data platforms, AI, digital products).
• 15 to 20+ years of engineering leadership experience, with at least 5+ in healthcare, pharma, biotech, or MedTech domains.
• Hands on Architecting Capability
