What you would be doing

  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
  • Follow safety standards and company protocols at all times.
  • Perform site assessments and document job progress accurately.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including:
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure proper installation and compliance with codes.
  • Ensure all work complies with Oregon LEA licensing requirements and applicable state/local codes.
  • Travel as required to support project rollouts, installations, and service work.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and equipment while traveling.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various environments (ladders, confined spaces, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling.
  • Structured cabling (Cat6, fiber optics)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required, including overnight stays.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Experience with fiber optics (fusion splicing, testing).
  • Strong knowledge of EIA/TIA standards, cable routing, and termination practices.
  • CCTV/security camera systems
  • 2+ years of experience in large commercial low-voltage installations (structured cabling, security systems, or related fields).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Axis, Avigilon, Lenel, Exacq).
  • Aerial Left certifications.
  • Experience in commercial data center environments or enterprise network builds.
  • Oregon LEA License (or ability to obtain reciprocity if currently licensed in another state).
