The role involves covering roofs with single‑ply materials such as TPO, EPDM, and PVC, as well as spraying roofs, sidings, and walls to bind, seal, insulate, or soundproof structures. Candidates will work with a variety of roofing systems and related materials to ensure durable, weather‑tight installations.
- Clean debris from roof surfaces and surrounding areas
- Install, repair, and replace single‑ply roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, etc.)
- Install vapor barriers and insulation on flat roofs, sealing seams
- Seal exposed nail heads with roofing cement or caulking
- Cut and attach roofing paper in overlapping strips
- Apply overlapping material layers using chalk lines and gauges
- Cover roofs and exterior walls with slate, asphalt, metal, wood, gravel, gypsum, and related materials
- Operate vehicles and mechanized equipment safely
- Repair cracks, defects, or damage with appropriate materials
- Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings
- Inspect equipment, structures, and materials for quality
- Train and coach other employees
- Evaluate compliance with standards
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures

Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of roofing experience; a driver’s license is considered a plus. The position requires knowledge of safety procedures, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read measurements and communicate effectively on a team.
Work demands include long periods of standing, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and handling materials up to 50 pounds while operating in extreme temperatures and lighting conditions.
