Description

• Operate vehicle per OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and document in the DVR system.
• Provide professional, high‑quality customer service.
• Record and maintain daily delivery tickets.
• Communicate customer requests or service interruptions to Operations.
• Operate forklifts as required.
• Use personal vehicle to travel to designated Midwest Fiber locations (Peoria, Normal, Urbana, Decatur, IN).
• Verify and maintain accurate daily records.
• Lift up to 65 lb and push/pull 200 lb recycling containers.
• Follow assigned daily delivery/pick‑up routes.
• Use hands, fingers, and arms to handle tools and controls regularly.
• Perform frequent physical activities: sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak, and hear.

Requirements

The role is a Class A CDL driver floater position primarily operating tractor‑trailers. Candidates must be self‑motivated, take driver responsibility seriously, and have the ability to work independently. The position offers growth potential within the organization.

• Hold a valid Class A or B CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have ≥3 years commercial route experience, preferably recycling/waste management.
• Pass pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and 7‑year background check.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
• Have a reliable personal vehicle for travel.
• Possess adequate vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment).

Benefits

Compensation is $35 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement for travel to different locations.
