The Equipment Specialist supports the Senior Equipment Specialist in managing equipment and resources for the Toxicological Emergency Response Program (TERP), Health & Safety Services, and Industrial Hygiene programs. This full‑time, flexible‑location role is responsible for ordering new equipment, ensuring outbound resources are delivered to field operations, and overseeing the return and re‑inventory of materials.
Work involves a combination of office and field duties, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and occasional 24‑hour shifts. Employees may work outdoors in extreme weather, at altitudes above 5,000 ft, and encounter physical or chemical hazards; reasonable accommodations are provided.
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma (an associate degree, military training, or relevant experience is preferred) and prior experience in logistics or inventory control. Advanced computer skills on a Windows platform and a current driver’s license are required.
The position requires completion of job‑specific OSHA training, the ability to wear a respirator, and strong organizational and communication skills. The specialist must build effective relationships within a matrix reporting structure and follow written and verbal directions.
