Overview
Coordinate medical/dental readiness cases for CA Army National Guard service members.

Tasks
-Submit case referrals, lab results, and profile documentation to case managers, medical review officers (MROs), and dental officers as appropriate. -Provide case coordination, medical/dental documentation processing, profile management and tracking of deployment limiting conditions. -Support Medical Readiness Events (MREs) by processing charts, conducting screenings, and flagging non-deployable Service members. -Utilize multiple DoD systems including: -Provide HIPAA-compliant education to Service members on lifestyle modifications, referral processes, and resource availability. -Maintain billable encounter logs and databases -Liaise with identified administrators to ensure accurate and timely processing of medical claims. -Support patient education, release-of-information documentation, and privacy briefings. -Assist nurse case managers with administrative functions. -Track, submit, and route medical claims for payment -Process and maintain referral and profiling documentation within identified specific timelines. -Facilitate and track case management for Service members including those returning from deployments. -Review and track required medical/dental status’ specific to Army and DoD guidelines. -Maintain health readiness records (HRR) through scanning, indexing, and uploading of civilian/military medical documents in the Army system(s) of record. -Independently manage medical and dental case files, ensuring timely updates and closure of discrepancies. -Conduct quality assurance checks on incoming medical/dental records and initiate remediation workflows. -Coordinate and document all Service member contact in the preferred Army system (email, phone, interview). -Run and interpret specific reports to inform deployment fitness status.

What You Bring
-Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV) -Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals experiencing medical or dental conditions -Working knowledge of AR 40-501, AR 40-502, DA PAM 40-502, and other IMR and deployment-related guidance -MODS (MEDPROS Web Data Entry, Medical Readiness Portal) -MEDCHART (eCase, eMMPS, HRR, DenClass) -Proficiency in AHLTA/MHS Genesis, and other DoD systems -May require some travel throughout California -Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team -Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills -Associate degree in human services or related field, OR equivalent work experience -Familiarity with common clinical assessment tools and documentation standards -Prior experience in military medical/dental readiness or administrative processing -Continually required to sit, concentrate, and use a computer -Must be able to lift/carry medical records or screening equipment occasionally -Experience supporting mobile or field-based medical clinics -Comfortable interacting with diverse and occasionally difficult populations -Eligible for government system access and CAC issuance -Familiarity with military culture (e.g., veteran, military family member, or volunteer) -Proficiency with military medical administrative systems, including MEDCHART and MODS -Ability to maintain HIPAA standards and handle sensitive medical information appropriately -Occasionally required to stand or walk during MREs
