Description

The Recycling Sorter ensures that materials are correctly placed and sorted on the conveyor line, conducts quality checks, removes items that do not meet specifications, and maintains cleanliness of both the warehouse and the processing equipment at shift end.

• Stand at a station along a conveyor belt doing quality control on mixed recyclables.
• Identify and safely remove non‑conforming items into designated chutes or bins.
• Perform general warehouse cleanup at the end of each shift.
• Clean processing equipment at the end of each shift.
• Regularly use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak, and hear.
• Work the 8 PM–5 AM shift.

Requirements

Candidates should be familiar with basic personal protective equipment—including hard hats, reflective vests, steel‑toe boots, ear and eye protection, and gloves—and preferably have prior experience working in an industrial recycling facility.

The work environment includes exposure to wet or humid conditions, mechanical parts, outdoor weather, vibration, and moderate to loud noise. Physical demands involve frequent movement, lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for extended periods, and using vision for close, distance, color, and peripheral tasks.

This is a full‑time night shift position (8 PM–5 AM) based at 6006 Freeport Rd., San Antonio, TX 78252. Applicants must be able to reliably commute or be willing to relocate before starting work.

• Use basic PPE such as hard hat, reflective vest, steel‑toe boots, ear and eye protection, utility gloves, and arm protection.
• Have previous experience in an industrial recycling facility.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Possess vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Work in moderate to loud noise levels.
• Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
• HSA/FSA.
