What you would be doing

Rework parts that have damage from the manufacturing process.
Visually inspect parts determining defects (i.e. machining operations, rust vs. heat-treat scale, etc.) and advise supervision of issues.
Inspect parts and ensure the proper finish and/or flatness
Read and follow the process sketch or control plan.
Follow the control/process plan to determine which deburr tools to utilize.
Perform set up and operate the coining press and drill press machines.
May perform assembly operations including lee plug, broaching, bearings, and helicoils
Performs precision deburr inside of parts (i.e. kidneys, undercuts, back of splines, c’bores, break edges on oil holes, burrs in oil holes and flanges of shoes, bearings, piston and rods, etc.)
Maintain manufacturing productivity and safety standards.
Perform repetitive manual deburring and polishing operations, keeping parts in quality compliance and following manufacturing process steps.

Ability to maintain close tolerance dimensions on critical parts.
A minimum of 1 year of prior work experience.
Prior experience in machining, deburring, honing, or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Ability to learn equipment and processes for the fabrication of aerospace parts, and produce parts in accordance with the production plans, sketches, and/or verbal instructions.
Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile distance of the N. Charleston, SC facility (zip code 29418) to be considered.
