Support the development of the delivery strategies for the works
Develop and maintain programmes, forecasts, and performance metrics for utility enabling works.
Identify and manage the discharge of consents
Implement robust risk management and quality assurance processes.
Prepare progress reports, risk registers, and maintain accurate project documentation.
Ensure timely delivery of utility diversions and installations aligned with main works milestones and specifically SU Constraint Dates.
Oversee design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of financial performance.
Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, including engineers and subcontractors.
Manage budgets for utility works, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for savings.
Manage all aspects of utility enabling works to provide an environment that allows the utilities to be delivered safely, predictably and productively.
Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with the works
Lead a team and deliver in line with agreed strategic objectives.
Support handover and certification processes for utility assets.
Liaise with statutory undertakers, local authorities, and internal teams to secure approvals and agreements.

Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong leadership and the ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Proven experience managing works on major infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards (NEBOSH/IOSH desirable).
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or APM certification.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proven experience in working as part of a wider integrated team and being able to draw on other disciplines and supporting functions to deliver a desired outcome.
Experience with NEC contracts and major highways projects.
